Currently, in 2008, we are still using the www.TaiChiTeens.com website primarily. As we switch to using more Mandarin Chinese in our classes and conversing with the American public--we will also switch our websites over to accomodate this advancement of the Chinese language.
It seems to me though, that since modern teens in China are ALL learning Mandarin Chinese, and will all be saying, "Taijiquan," instead of, "Tai Chi Chuan," we should start using this website soon.
Mandarin Versus Cantonese
The coolies who came over to the U.S. during the 1800s to build the railroads, were mostly from the Canton province of China. Cantonese is the dialect of the people who lived in Canton, China.
So, most of the Chinese in America is from the Cantonese dialect.
When Mao Tse Tung rulled China, he converted them to one national language to make it easier for persons to communicate with all parts of China. Although they all used the same written language, they spoke the words so differently that people from southern China can not communicate by phone with the Mandarin Chinese dialect.

The Shaolin Chi Mantis / Buddha Tai Chi classes are the same curriculums taught to adults. When we have enough teen students for entirely teen classes, or we teach in a high school, we call our classes either Taiji Teens, or Tai Chi Teens.
With the launch of BUDDHA KUNG FU in 2008, current information regarding classes can be found there also.
